The archaeological site of Chichen Itza is recognized as one of the wonders of the world and is located about 4 hours from Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Cancun.

This area is made up of 6.5 square kilometers and inside is the pyramid of Chichen Itza also known as the Pyramid of Kukulcan, icon of the Mayan civilization and the Temple of the Warriors.

Many people visit Chichen Itza to charge themselves with energy and observe the spring equinox (March 21) and the autumn equinox (September 22), in these two events in the north staircase of the Pyramid of Kukulcan you can see the shadow of the snake that descends little by little to the head located at the bottom of the Pyramid.

300 meters from the Pyramid is the Sacred Cenote, a place where Mayan rituals were performed in honor of the gods; this Cenote is 60 meters in diameter and 15 meters deep.

Don’t forget to visit the patio (court) of the ball game, this is the best preserved and largest in Mesoamerica, it is located north of the Pyramid of Kukulcan and measures 120 meters long and 30 meters wide.
